Specific Goals/Objectives of ASAA-NA Funded Projects

  1. To enhance teaching and learning process
  2. To create positive learning environment
  3. To improve access to technology based educational materials
  4. To motivate students for healthy competition for academic excellence
  5. To improve the overall students’ academic achievement
  6. To help students to successfully graduate from high school and to prepare them for colleges

Past Projects and Current Activities

ASAA-NA funds the implementation of extracurricular activities at the Agazi Preparatory School and surrounding High Schools to support the on-going efforts to improve the quality of education through such projects as:
1. After School Tutorials by teachers and high performing students
2. Q&A Competition among high school students in the Eastern Tigray zone
3. Prize Awards for outstanding students, female students and teachers

Projects to improve the learning process and learning environment

ASAA-NA also funds projects to improve the learning process and learning environment such as:

1. Supplying books for libraries, computers, printers, projector, copy machine, calculators, laboratory equipment and sport supplies.
2. Providing Internet access to students and the public
3. Constructing class rooms, auditoriums and teachers lounges

New and Upcoming Projects

1. Information technology center at Agazi. The center has internet service and access to online educational resources
2. New alumni website with learning management system
3. Essays Writing Competition
4. Upgrading the Keyih Biet Timhrti
5. Community/modern library media center in Adigrat City
